Ben Uri Museum

The Ben Uri Museum acquired Narielwalla’s Bands of Pride work for their permanent collection. He was the first Indian born British artist to enter into their collection. The six-panel collage was initially commissioned by the Migrations Museum for their No Turning Back exhibit looking at seven migration moments that changed Britain.

In 2020 the Ben Uri Museum transformed its collection and gallery into an online database extending their audiences to an international one. In August of that year they included Narielwalla in an exhibit – Midnight’s Family: 70Years of Indian Artists in Britain – alongside Anish Kapoor, F N Souza and the Singh Twins. Narielwalla was interviewed by the BBC for this show.
